I am the bread that gives life! No one who comes to me will ever be hungry. No one who has faith in me will ever be thirsty. (John 6:35 CEV)
Israel experienced the power of God. During their 40 years wandering in the desert, God provided them Manna from heaven and water from the springs in the desert. Not a single day did Israel not have food to eat and water to drink. God provided them daily sustenance. Still they doubted God. Man cannot live by bread alone but from the words that come out of God’s mouth. The “word became flesh” referring to Christ. He is now the bread that comes from heaven and water from the river of life. He is the source of life. He said He is the way, the truth, and the life. We cannot go to heaven except through Him. The way is His beloved Church. Vigorously walk in this narrow way for not so many find and walk this way. No one goes to heaven by chance or by luck then become surprised to find he is in heaven. Those who will live eternally in heaven are those who are heirs, the Children of God, who are in the Most Holy Church.
