You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today. (Deuteronomy 11:27 NLT)
God has intended for all men to receive His blessings. However, He cannot bless those who are transgressors of His will. The path of blessings is wholehearted obedience to God, which is a proof of love for Him. Those who disobey Him do not love Him. They ignore God, not believing in Him who has created all things, sustains all things, and reigns in all things at all times. God has given us the freedom to choose. We are not created as robots without feelings and freedom to choose. We are rational beings able to discern good from evil, light from darkness, and holiness from sin. The path of the sinners ends in destruction and death. The path of holiness is edification and life. In other words there are two paths we can take in this life’s journey: the path of blessings and the path of curse. Which would you choose?
