Our duty as Children of the Most High God is to worship Him and proclaim His glorious name. Our intention is to please Him by obeying His decrees and live worthy of the Gospel. Christian living is living spiritually, being steadfast in our most holy faith, and striving to be perfectly holy just like our Lord Jesus Christ. By ourselves, we cannot reach perfection. But with the help of God, we are sure to achieve perfection. Temptations may hinder our pursuit of perfection, but if we are focused on Jesus, doing what He did – living a life of holiness without blemish, and being obedient until our death – then perfection is not an impossibility but a sure reality. Know that God helps us face temptations and overcome them. He gives us the necessary strength, wisdom to discern what is best, and direction to escape routes if necessary. So how can we not triumph over all temptations? Christ did, so can we because Christ is with us.
