For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. (2Corinthians 10:4 ESV)
We should be aware that we are in spiritual battle. It is very real. We fight for our soul. We fight everyday against the lies of Satan. Satan is like a roaring hungry lion looking for his prey. He intends to kill and destroy us. He wants to snatch the truth that set us free from his deceptions. If we are not strong in our faith, he will take advantage of it. We are to be watchful and prayerful. We have to be ready for any eventual attack. We have to hold on to God’s words and promises – the weapon that can destroy Satan’s lies. Lust of the flesh and eyes and the pride of life are the temptations we should avoid. These are Satan’s trap. We should make a stand to live in the Spirit. That is where our battle ground is. We shall overcome because we are not of the flesh. The last man standing will be the spiritual man.
