Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing. (Isaiah 40:26 ESV)
Look at the evidence that there is one true God who is all powerful and full of wisdom. He is the one whom all men should worship and serve. Idols cannot save. They are all created, not creators. The awesome power and glory of God is displayed in the heavens. All the heavenly bodies, the stars, the sun and moon, the planets – they all submit to the power of God. The analogy is to a vast army with God as the Commander. At night, all the stars come out organized, with each one in its right place. No one fails to come out, as commanded. Astrologers discover new stars and planets and name them. But God already know where they are and what their names are. Note that we are even more known to God by name because He created us in His own image. Like the heavenly bodies, we should obey our Lord God and live according to His will. His power remains in us in every way. God is with us. He does not leave us – He lives in us. Do not leave God but live with God.
