They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand. (Nehemiah 1:10 NASB)
We are God’s people. We were bought for a price. Before, we obeyed Satan. We were slaves because he deceived us with his lies. Since we have our allegiance to him, we were, in effect, separated from God whom we disobeyed. The wall of sins that separated us from God was broken down when our Lord poured out His blood to seal the covenant with His Church. It was the day of our redemption. It was our independence day. Christ liberated us from being slaves of Satan. Give thanks to God for the freedom we regained. Now we are the children of God. We testify that we owe our new life to Christ’s work on the cross. Thus, we serve Him willingly, faithfully, and with love. Satan cannot snatch us away from God. The mighty hand of God protects and preserves us for as long as we obey Him.
