Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man’s behalf! (Psalms 66:5 NIV)
God manifested Himself to Israel through His mighty works. He showed them miracles and saved them from slavery in Egypt. He made a highway across the sea, killed the armies of Pharaoh, then protected and led them to the Promised Land. But what did they do? They doubted God and even cursed Moses, God’s Servant. He again manifested Himself in the flesh to save them from Satan’s slavery. He showed mighty works. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, freed those possessed by evil spirits, and raised the dead. Again, He was not received by His own people. Instead, they sentenced Him to death. Even after He raised Himself from the dead, still they did not believe. Now, brethren, God saved us by the power of His love. He released us from the bondage of sin, from darkness, to His marvelous light. Let us keep our faith. Acknowledge Him as our only God and Savior. Let us worship Him and offer Him our sacrifices of Thanksgiving.
