Let Us Pray No. 9

  • January 9, 2017

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16

Holy Father, you said that where two or three come together in your name, you are in the midst of them. Through this prayer, our hearts and souls spiritually gather together though we are in different places. We thank you for putting us together as brothers and sisters through the flesh and blood you sacrificed on the cross. Lord, you strictly commanded us to preserve this brotherly covenant that binds us together. Forgive me if I had offended and hurt someone. You know that it was not my intention to hurt anyone. I accept my faults and ask your forgiveness. Let us live in peace and harmony as your children. Help us, Father, to avoid and to abstain from murmurings, criticizing, blaming, hating, envying and judging each other. While unbelievers grow cold in their love, we as your children, strive to stir up our love for each other that we may prove that we are your true disciples. As we gather together in your name, we pray for our brothers and sisters who are in need of your healing. Heal their sickness, Lord. Heal their broken hearts, and let them be complete again. Restore their souls and give hope to those who are in despair. Abba, our Father, let us achieve the things you want us to pursue today. Let them bring blessings to us and to others. Most of all let them all be to our honor. We pray all these in your name. Amen.
