Let Us Pray No. 72

  • March 13, 2017

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

Abba, our eternal Father in heaven, you are preparing for us mansions in heaven. We are homeward bound. We know that sooner or later we will have to leave this present life. Nothing in this life can we bring, not the material treasures, only the heavenly treasures which are our deeds of obedience to a life of holiness. This is why we keep on doing your will, living according to your Words because we have this great hope that you will give us the promise of eternal life. Father, you fully know what we are going through each day. We do suffer in every turn and are being tempted in every way as we obey your commands. However, we are being strengthened by your words. We know we can bear all these lifelong sufferings until the end. As we get older in life, we can only wish that we can get younger for us to do more of the works you command us to accomplish. The weight we can carry when we were youn g become heavier than before because of age. Even so, Lord, we thank you and praise you for our spirit becomes stronger, even younger to do more of the greater spiritual works. We devote now our days in true devotional worship and praise in you. As we get nearer to our grave, we get nearer to heavens’ gate. Father, we pray that as the days pass-by, let us be more cynical but trustful in your promises, let us be not bitter but better each day until we become your perfect image, and be able to attain the perfect heavenly body without blemish and without end. Amen.
