“When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2

Abba, our Father in heaven, You are the source of all heavenly treasure, knowledge and wisdom. I draw near you with the desire to acknowledge you in all my dealings today with my family, with my associates, with my co-believers and with you my dear Lord. Oh Most High God, though you are the Lord with your throne exceedingly high and your glory is above the heavens yet you look down to lift the poor and the needy. You showed us a meek spirit and a lowly heart when you were incarnated. You purposed to be born in a manger, lived ordinarily as a carpenter, you associated yourself with ordinary people, healed and fed the poor and the lowly, rode a donkey as a King and without sins died with the criminals. Although you are God, you humbled yourself. You set an example for us to follow. Lord, we pray that you give us the spirit of humility. Forgive us Father if ever you find us arrogant and proud. We ask you to bend us to teach us not to think highly than what we ought to think of ourselves. Allow us to show respect and honor others more than we do to ourselves. Empower us to extend our hands so we may help those who are in need. Create in us a heart that is willing to comfort and encourage every helpless soul. Father, let us experience happiness  in giving happiness to others that is according to your will and grace. We believe Lord that as the low ground becomes full of water so are good deeds performed with humility will give us blessings of knowledge, wisdom and provisions to enable us help and bless others more and more. Thank you Lord. Bless us today. Amen.
