“Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth.” John 17:17

Abba, Lord God, You own us. You have paid for our sins. You suffered on the cross, and died as a sinner, in the hands of those who rejected you for our sakes. You chose us to be your own special people, set apart to proclaim your glory. You sent us into the world as messengers of truth for the deliverance of souls that are deceived by Satan. As your messengers, we are to be different from the people of the world. We are to be holy as you are holy so that the world may believe us. You cannot send unholy messengers for they will not speak the truth. Thus, you have sanctified us. You made us holy. Thank you, Lord, for your justification which is perfect and complete to free us from the punishment of our sins. We are made holy through your justification. Now, Lord, we pray that you continue your work of sanctification until we become your perfect image when you came down to this world to show us how to be your perfect child.  But, we fully understand that we have a part to do. We have to work out our own salvation. We have to live in holiness which you have started in us. We beg you to give us the strength, and the wisdom that we may live according to your will. We cannot be holy by not sinning. We have to live righteously before you and our neighbors. We have to obey your decrees, live by your doctrines and be the light and salt of the world. Lord, May we be able to worship you in spirit and in truth. May we live under the power of your Holy Spirit in us and in the truthfulness of a life offered for your honor. Amen
