And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8 NKJV)
Abba, our Father, You are the God who loved us all despite our filth and weaknesses. We were all sinners and none of us lived righteously before You. But none of that matters because how You want to show us Your love is more important to You. The multitude of our sins is incomparable to the greatness of Your love. Your love did not just cover our sins—it erased them completely. There is no love like Yours, oh, Lord. Now, You want us to love one another just as how You loved us. We know we are incapable of that kind of love, but we know You will be with us, guiding us until we can love one another with perfect love. Like You, may our love prevail over our differences and inequities. None of us are perfect, but when we all learn to love one another perfectly, our love for each other will cover all our imperfections. Thus, we can altogether become the perfect children of Your glory. Thank You for loving and teaching us how to love. This is the only way we can be in Your likeness. We pray all these for the glory of Your name, Christ Jesus. Amen.
