Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)
Abba, God the Highest, our great Savior, You gave us salvation for us to be Your instruments for the salvation of our fellow. When we heard Your truth, our souls were purified. Thank You, Father, for You have given us an open mind and a humble heart to accept the truth and submit ourselves to it. We pray for our fellow to whom You’ve sent us to preach Your word. May we not be prejudiced no matter what kind of sin they live in. May compassion prevail in us, so we may save them from their pitiful situation. Like us, take away any pride in their heart and let them not cling on to worldly knowledge. May they learn to love Your truth, which will liberate them, and not the pleasures, which will lead them to damnation. Please place upon our lips the words needed to encourage them to believe and submit themselves in You, for the sake of their soul’s salvation. We know You want all people to be saved. That is why we believe You are hearing this little prayer in Your name, Christ Jesus. Amen.
