Let Us Pray No. 298

  • October 25, 2021

Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being. (1 Corinthians 10:24)

Abba, our Father and King, You are our everlasting and almighty God. As we wake up on this day, expressing our gratitude first comes to our mind, for You made our lives meaningful. Many people seek for happiness through things they think can give them true contentment: wealth, assets, power, knowledge, and might. Others find their happiness through yearning for: love, kindness, respect, empathy, and protection from his/her neighbor. But all these have no assurance. Uncertainty is abundant in life and in the goodness coming from our neighbors. But for us whom You have taught, true happiness cannot be found in material things and things we do for our fellowmen. Our happiness is to do what is delightful, pleasing, and beneficial to our fellowmen. Through our service, we understood the true meaning of life. Denying ourselves opened our eyes to see the joy it brings when we make others happy. Like You, our Father, You are truly pleased when You give abounding goodness to us. We pray that Your will becomes our will, so we may spend all the days of our lives in true happiness. We thank You, our Father, Christ Jesus. Amen.
