Let Us Pray No. 279

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)

Abba, our Lord Jesus, we call upon Your name to entrust You this day You have given us. We humbly ask You to bless us with Your salvation and grace. You are the only one we recognize as the provider of all our possessions in this life. We believe You have given all of them to suffice our needs, to help those who are less fortunate, and most of all, to offer them to You in supporting the mission of Your Church in administering the saints and proclaiming Your Gospel. If ever You provide us with abundant blessings, with treasures and possessions in this life, may we be generous in giving and contributing. Forbid the eyes of our hearts to become blind and be greedy for the treasures that fade and not be able to see the true treasures in heaven that cannot be robbed by any thief, cannot be moth-eaten, can never fade, but will remain forever. May we give greater importance to the holiness we do, which will serve as proof of us being trustworthy with greater and immeasurable treasures in heaven. Lord, in everything You give us, You are our endless and greatest treasure. If You are with us and we are with You, we will not want anything. Because of this, our Lord, we beg You to please reveal Your glory to us, so we may completely know You and have fellowship with You. We pray to You, our Father, to walk with us through this day and in all the days of our life, for You to be glad in us and we may rejoice in You. Amen.
