For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. (Philippians 3:3)
Abba, our Most High God. You are worthy of praise and worship. The heavens declare your eminence and the lands and the seas proclaim your infinite power. You sustain all creation and hold everything under the palm of your hands. We all have the duty to praise and serve you. However, all have sinned against you because we all disobeyed and served other gods. With your mercy, you have chosen the nation Israel as your people and promised them your blessings only if they will serve you faithfully. You gave a Covenant to assure them of your faithfulness. But then, they turned away from you. Rather than serving you, they rejected you as their King. The sign of the Covenant, the circumcision of their flesh should have reminded them that they should live according to your precepts, to be holy and not live according to the carnal ways of the nations around them. You wanted them separated for your purpose and not be influenced by the sinning world. You are God who does not change. Your covenant still stays. The heaven and the earth will pass away but not your words. You have chosen and established a holy nation called by your name. Through your blood, they became the Spiritual Israel, are circumcised in the spirit rather than in the flesh. Your words were written in their hearts. Now, you can find your people, your holy nation, who worship you in spirit and in truth. Lord, here we are, we humbly approach you to worship and serve you with all our might, mind and soul. We rely on you for everything. However, when we are with you and you are with us, we can do the impossible and be the recipient of your promised blessings of prosperity and success not only in this life but in the afterlife. Lord, our God, our Father in heaven, help us to live according to your purpose in our lives that we may give you honor and glory. Amen.
