Let Us Pray No. 176

  • June 25, 2023

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalms 139:23-24)

Abba, Father, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God. You are our Creator and Savior. You are yesterday, today and tomorrow, and you are without beginning nor end. You revealed yourself to us in your greatest nature – holiness and love. All you do for us express your holiness and your eternal love for us. Lord, thank you! We thank you for your marvelous works in our lives and our souls know them well. Our darkness and daylight moments are the same to you, you see them all. You hear our cries as well as our laughter. You closely watch us and you are one hundred percent familiar with our ways that even our very thoughts, even before they register in our minds, were naked in your eyes. You are amazing, oh God, no one is like you and no one will ever be! Nothing surprises you. All things that happen are for your glory and for our prosperity. So, Lord, help us keep away from anxieties which could prevent us from doing our Christian duties. Every day is essential, time wasted is time that will never come back. Give us the power to initiate and to accomplish them for your honor and praise. Enable us to fill our minds with the things that are good and that deserve praise, things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable. Amen.
