Let Us Pray No. 108

  • April 18, 2017

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Abba, merciful Father, where can we go that you are not there? You are over everything, through everything and in everything. Even the deepest and our most secret thoughts are transparent in your sight. Our past, our present and our future are well known to you. But you are God and Father of no reproof, the character of your kindness, forbearance and patience leads us to repent our wrongdoings. We humbly approach your throne of mercy forgive us our faults and weaknesses. Give us the enlightenment and discernment of the mind and spirit so that we may not go back and commit the same mistakes again. May we willingly and courageously leave behind those weaknesses and faults and proceed to attain the end of our spiritual journey which is the perfection of our holiness after your image. We pray to you, Lord, unveil to us your infinite ways that would teach us to be firm and strong to detest what is evil and to hold tight to everything that is good and pleasing to you. We are confident that each time we fail, we are strengthened in faith and wisdom.  Amen.
