Let Us Pray No. 10

  • January 10, 2021

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25)

Abba, Holy Father, I come before you today for cleansing and anointing. I ask for your forgiveness for the things that I have done wrong. I am guilty of having bad thoughts against another, my words have been harsh and in some ways, I have hurt somebody. I could have neglected giving help to someone in need and was not able to show my love to those who longed for care and affection. I confess that I have not done your commands fully. For all these oh, Lord, you have been kind to me. You have been patient and forgiving. My soul fully understands that all your goodness leads me to repent. As I come before you for forgiveness oh, Lord, may you find in my heart that I truly forgive those who have hurt me. Let all the bitterness and hatred that cause division, brokenness in our midst be cast away. Let the small things be forgiven right away so that it may not grow into malice, bitterness, wrath, anger, slander towards those whom we have not forgiven. Abba, teach us to see the goodness in people. Teach us to understand and see beyond the mistakes of others and see that they have no intention of hurting us. Teach us to be forgiving and merciful and just the way you are. Finally Lord, we may be hurt multiple times, throughout the day, but we are certain that you will make us persevere and make us endure to grow our love for you and for others stronger than yesterday. Amen.
