God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven! (Matthew 5:3 CEV)
I n other words, happy are the poor and the weak who depend on Christ for they will inherit all the promises of eternal life. People of the world have a wrong notion of happiness. Happiness or blessedness, for many, is anchored on wealth, greatness, and power. They spend their days drinking, eating, and in merriment. Let it be known, brethren, that true happiness is in doing the will of God. It is a life of love and of following Christ. True treasures are the gold dusts we gathered during our godly walk, the empowerment of Christ to overcome life’s challenges, and the hon – or of serving the Most High God. Christ promises to those who are poor, even in spirit, that the way to happiness is to belong to His kingdom for many are wealthy, honorable, and great in the world but are empty inside. In the Kingdom of Christ, there abound love, peace, joy, happiness, righteousness, forgiveness, and abundance of life.
