In fact, the Lord Christ is the one you are really serving, and you know that he will reward you. (Col 3:24 CEV)
Our faith should be rooted in Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is the rock on whom our faith should stand firm. Like a house built on a strong foundation, it can withstand the storms and strong winds; our faith will not waver even in times of troubles and in the face of strong temptations. We continue to serve the Lord God Jesus Christ even during adversities. We worship Him in spirit and in truth. We do not serve idols or anything to worship and praise Him. We worship and serve Him in all our waking hours, seven days a week. Meaning, we honor Him wherever, whenever and whatever we do. Do everything in His name. Let us do our job well in the office, at home, in school, in business, in dealing with people – as if we are doing it for Christ. Doing them for Christ will bring us good rewards—we will increase and succeed. Our labor will be recognized and will be rewarded in return by the people we work for. But if they don’t, Christ surely has something greater in store for us.
