Religion is defined as the bond between man and God. It came from the Latin word relegare. It is having a relationship with God. To have a special relationship with Him is to really know Him. It is not just a simple acquaintance but an emotional experience and a spiritual understanding of Him. It is to know His ways and appreciate His holy character; to love and desire Him. Thus, we have to seek Him with all our heart and soul, wanting to know Him more. It is a lifelong search for the knowledge about Him by hearing Him and experiencing Him every day. It is our Godward walk. In return, God promises to satisfy our desire for Him. He will come to us to present Himself with all His glory and majesty. He will work in our lives to show His everlasting love and infinite power. He will prove that He is the only God to whom we should submit ourselves to, to follow and serve religiously. He will come in our lives as a gentle rain to shower us with blessings. Surely, for us who walk Godward, God will come man-ward to restore a loving relationship with Him until forever.
