Your own soul is nourished when you are kind, but you destroy yourself when you are cruel. (Proverbs 11:17 NLT)
How are you doing today? Are you doing good? Do good works for that is the reason the good God created us. He is pleased to see us do good to others. It is an act of kindness that can be done in great and small ways and it reflects the character of God. You can give time, money, resources and even yourself to help someone in need. You can also do good by saying a few good words to encourage, advice, guide or correct someone. Even a brief visit to the sick and the lonely for comfort is good. It feels good when you are able to help. It is fulfilling and satisfying. It nourishes your soul. However, be wise to give your help to those who “deserve” help. Do not extend help if someone asks for things that will harm him, you or anybody else. Extend help if it is “in your power to act”. Do good and feel good. Show kindness especially to a brother/sister in need.
