If a man has the fear of the Lord, the Lord will be his teacher in the way of his pleasure. (Psalms 25:12 BBE)
The fear of the Lord does not mean we are terrified by Him, scared nor shocked by His presence. Agape love casts out such kind of fear. The fear of God draws us closer to Him. This kind of fear is reverential fear. If we fear the Lord we, keep His commands. This is our whole duty to God, our Creator. The Bible says, the secret of the Lord is to those who fear Him. He will instruct us the path to life, prosperity and safety. He gives us discernment to veer away from evil, the way of death and failures. When you approach the throne of mercy, have fear. Stand in awe because of the holiness and majesty of the Lord. Humble yourself to serve and worship Him faithfully. He blesses those who fear Him.
