“Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.” (Numbers 14:9 NKJV)
We sometimes hold back in doing God’s will be- cause of our fears. We fear not just the dangers we might encounter in serving God but also the things we might miss in doing so. We fear that we might not have enough time for our family: to enjoy time with your spouse and have quality time with your children. We fear that we might not be saving enough for our future because instead of working, we are doing our ministries. We fear that we might not achieve our dream job or career, get to our dream tourist destinations, buy our dream car, build our dream house, and achieve our dream life. Because in getting there, we might require huge amounts of time and money, but we use our time and earnings for the Church. My beloved brethren, we should not fear. God is the first one who wants us to be happy. We can enjoy all the things mentioned while we are serving God. We should just remember that first, the righteous will not be forsaken. Second, there is time for everything. We should just trust God and be delighted in Him. Let us be glad in our service to Him. God will reward us for everything that we gave up for the sake of serving Him.
