Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. (1 Peter 3:10 NIV)

We all want to live a good life. Yet there are many people who do not enjoy and appreciate life. Tracing back to the beginning of life, we can see what a good life is supposed to be. Before men were created, God set up the world as a perfect place to live in. The Garden provided men all that they need: fresh food, clean air and water, and a peaceful, blessed life with the Lord. However, everything changed after sin came into the world. Since then, conflicts, disagreements, envy, pretention, betrayal, and back stabbing went on in the life of many. Life became hard and difficult; sin brought death to mankind. The key to a good life on earth is to be with God – to walk with Him, abide and submit ourselves to Him. If we follow Him, we shall be happy and enjoy the good life caused by His presence. Though we live in a dangerous and sinful environment, God will protect and provide for us. He will guide and strengthen us, establishing our steps every day for us to walk in peace and blessedness. To maintain a good life, let us walk in righteousness. Do not sin before God as in the old days. Pursue peace with God by not sinning. Be at peace with everyone by doing good to them and be at peace with yourself and enjoy a good life of holiness.
