“But those on the good ground are the ones who, in an honest and good heart, having heard the Word, keep it and bring forth fruit with patience.” Luke 8:15 NKJV

Our Christian Creed reminds us of who we are: “I am a Christian, a seed of wisdom in the garden of heaven”.  As Christians, our spiritual goal is to become the perfect image of Christ. To become perfect Christian is to be become mature as children of God. As we are planted in the Church, we are to flourish in God’s teachings and doctrines. Every time we listen to God’s words, He is planting the seeds of holiness and righteousness.  We are to blossom in time and produce fruits of good works. However, we need to do our fair share to blossom and mature. Let us submit ourselves to God’s mighty hand. His Ministers will provide the spiritual assistance we need, and God will do the rest of growing and multiplying the fruits of righteousness. If we grow in Christ, we shall enjoy the fruit of the Spirit. People will witness the fruits in us such as love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. If we are truly of Christ’s, we should be like Christ for the tree is known by its fruits. If we are God’s children, we should be holy as He is holy. He is righteous, thus, we should also be righteous. When we do not bear fruits, God will not be pleased. He will cut off the branch which does not bear fruits and will be thrown into the fire. However, He will clean and prune the branch that bears fruits so that it may produce more fruits.
