Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV)

Living in a material world makes a lot of people value the things of the world. Greed and discontent swallow their hearts resulting to anxiety and unhappiness. However, that is not the case with those who trust in the Lord with their whole heart. They have been instructed to be satisfied with what they have in every situation that they are in. They manage and live a peaceful, holy, and happy life – in abundance or in scarcity. Let us count our blessings and not those that we lack. Changes occur in the life of every person. Things will change in due time. We just have to wait patiently for the time of our renewal. Know that God is in control of everything. He knows what is best for His children. He works out all things for our welfare. God provides for our needs. If we suffer, it is only for little while. We are being reminded of Him, the source of everything. Let us put our dependence on Him alone and not in our own strength and wisdom. The secret of our contentment is Jesus Christ. He will be there in times of troubles. He will not fail nor leave us. He will be there for us. The question is, will you stay with Jesus or will you leave Him?
