But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (1 Peter 5:10 NKJV)

How can we measure the goodness of God? The Most High is the fountain of love. He is full of mercy and compassion. He chose and called us through the preaching of His Gospel, and bestowed the unlimited blessings for us to enjoy. It is true that we suffer in this life. We go through trials and temptations. We get sick, experience financial difficulties, personal problems, failures, losses, and the like. However, realize this: if we are without God, we cannot overcome. Our faith made us see God, guarding us from the back and leading us up-front to His salvation. Let us be encouraged by the fact that our sufferings are only for a “little while” as compared to the everlasting pleasure in heaven, which God has in-store for us if we endure to the end.
