This is my comfort in my affliction; for Your Word has given me life. (Psalms 119:50 MKJV)

In times when we are down and hurting, what we need most is just a simple word of comfort from someone who cares and soon enough, we are relieved completely. From the outside, we may be smiling, but from the inside, we are bleeding. It hurts us even more when the pain is inflicted by some people close to us. We are caught by surprise because we do not expect they will cause our misery. We are not prepared that is why we are hurt the most. We are disappointed, frustrated, and humiliated, feeling as if we are alone and struggling to recover. This is when we badly need someone whom we trust, who understands the pain and suffering we are in. There is none other than God whom we can turn to. He was in the deepest valley of pain. He knows and feels what it is like in the valley we are in. Listen to His words. Just listen to Him…in your heart… He is there to comfort you and lend you a helping hand. He will see you through. His staff and His rod will guide you to safety even in the valley of death. Trust Him in His promises and they will all come to pass. When you are dying in the inside, call on Him and approach His throne of Mercy and He will give you life.
