“You should be happy to give the poor what they need, because then the LORD will make you successful in everything you do.” (Deuteronomy 15:10 CEV)
Secure your future. How will you do that? Be a cheerful giver to the poor especially to your brother and sister. Many people save treasures and do not want to share them with anybody. The hope of security this can give is just for this lifetime. Actually, these treasures can be lost in different ways and may serve you only for certain periods of time. In the contrary, if you share your riches to those who are in need and be a blessing to others, you secure your future in this lifetime and for eternity. Anything your hands touch shall be blessed and will turn out to be your reward. You will have a “Midas touch” that will turn everything you touch into “gold”. God will increase your ability to help others so that you can give more for the poor. God elects the poor in the world so that they can be rich with heavenly treasures. Spiritually, the unbelievers are the poor who need our help. Let us share the spiritual gifts with them. We should share the gift of faith we enjoy to the unbelievers. Lead them to the Most Holy way, the Church of God in Christ Jesus.
