Love your enemies. This is love at its best. It is the perfection of love called Agape. God is Agape. He poured the spirit of love in our hearts. We are all capable of loving God’s way. Christ demonstrated what love is and how to love. He loved us even when we were sinners. At the cross, He prayed for all of us for forgiveness of our sins. He not only asked but also sacrificed His life for us. He offered Him – self as a ransom for us who believe. In the world today, love is misinterpreted as “like”: one who satisfies the self instead of the other. In Agape love, the object of love comes first before self. “Love one another as I have loved you”. By loving one another, we show the world the true love that comes from God. They will know that we are His disciples. Love instead of hate. Bless instead of curse. Do an act of love today…and every day.
