Gold Dust No. 297

Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2 NKJV)

Love one another as I have loved you. This is the new commandment Christ has given us. It is the LAW OF CHRIST THAT EVERYONE SHOULD ABIDE. It is true that we have our own burdens to bear, our cross to carry. But it should not be a reason not to help one another. It is un-Christian to say, “It is his problem not mine!” or “I cannot add his burden to mine!” or “I don’t care!” Burdens are heavy loads that Christians have to bear. They may be sickness, financial needs, persecutions, broken heartedness, family disputes, unemployment and the like. We must be able to lend a hand to make the burden lighter for a brother to carry. Helping them will do you good. When it is you who needs help, someone will help you out. The burden that most of us carry and is hard to bear is spiritual. These are the sins that drag us down and make us weak, forcing us to stop and surrender until we cannot continue in our Christian walk. These are the times we should help our fellow Christian to continue. Encourage, teach, instruct even rebuke if necessary to enlighten our brethren so that they may continue doing their duties before God. Let us zealously do the ONE ANOTHER MINISTRY. Let us love one another as Christ loved us.
