Our physical body has been degraded because of our sins. It is weak and we do what it desires. Because of our sins, our body has become mortal, corrupt, and destined to be totally destroyed. We accept the fact that we cannot save ourselves from defilement. There is but one way that our disgraced body can be restored to its original state, before sin infected our souls. We have to believe in Jesus Christ. He created us. He gave us glorious bodies. He showed us this when He died and rose back to life. He has the power to take life and give life. The same way shall we be raised from the dead in His Second Coming. We shall be the first fruits from the dead. Our body shall be changed from mortal to immortal. There shall be no defects nor sickness. It shall be a perfect one. Our body shall be like the Lord’s body when He was raised to heaven. It is our glorious hope that we shall also be raised to heaven, vested with crowns of life and seated at the right hand of God, Jesus Christ. Hold on to this glorious hope.
