Abba, dearest Father. You are our provider of our physical and spiritual needs. We cannot take another breath unless you sustain us our life and strength. Today oh Lord, we ponder about the touching spectacle of Abraham’s obedience and faith. We believe that it is the hardest part of Abraham’s journey with his son Isaac. It was his faith that made him offer his son as a sacrifice when you put him to the test. Father, we ask you to grant us the wisdom that you will never ask us to do what you know would harm us. Have us the faith that together with our obedience you shall take care of all our needs with the wonderful blessings you are providing for us. Oh God, I am really astonished to understand that the lamb you have provided for us is yourself! Oh Lord, if you have given yourself to us as a great sacrifice, what else can you not give and provide for your beloved children! Forgive me if I doubted you at times. I now surrender myself to your authority. Let me show you my obedience in your will and not my self-will anymore. Let me trust in you that what you will provide for us are the best, for we are your beloved. Thank you, Abba. We exalt you and worship you. Amen.
