Let Us Pray No. 249

  • September 6, 2017

Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:4

Abba, God our Father who comforts us in times of trouble and who gives us real peace. You overcame the world and through your sufferings you have made sin to cease. You triumphed over temptations and never sinned, all that you have done when you manifested yourself in the flesh were found with no deceit. Lord, you told us to be of good cheer despite of all the tribulations in this world because in you we found peace. We fully believe this because you have proven that through sufferings, if we suffer the way that you did, we will also be able to cease from sinning which aims to bring us down and take us away from following you. What you did is a concrete example that we should follow for us to be triumphant. That is why, in this spirit we are entrusting everything that we will do today in your mighty hand. May we teach those who desire to follow you to live by your examples. May we be the comforters of those who suffer from poverty and tribulation in this life, no matter who they are. Oh Lord, may we deliver to them the good news of your kingdom where they will find salvation, peace and prosperity. Your reign, oh Lord, gives us tranquility, happiness and goodness that we need in this life. Bless our walks today. Amen.
