“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23

Abba, Our All-wise and All-powerful God, we meditate on your mercy and the blessing of election for us to become your children. We cannot fathom why you have been mindful of us, considering that we lived our past lives in transgression and worse than that, Lord, we worshipped images, idols, other persons, wealth, honor, that even ourselves became our gods whom we served. We turned our hearts from you and seek pleasure from the work of our hands and were satisfied with false and limited happiness. Our gross sin was not to seek you to worship and serve you. We are the ones who should be seeking you for we are in need of deliverance and all the things in this life for the nourishment of our bodies but most specially our souls. However, Lord, it is you who seek for us. You are the Most High God and Creator of all things in heaven and on earth, and still you seek for us. You who is King reached out to us who rebelled against you. You tore down the wall of sins that separated us from you, through your own sacrifices. God, your ways are not our ways! You have given great value to our souls. You do not want us be destroyed by sins. Being your creation, and you who is merciful and just, would want us be delivered from sins. And you did, oh Lord! Now we are able to come to you to worship and serve you. But what you need is a contrite heart and a repentant soul. You seek for true worshippers that truly and sincerely believe in you as our Father God and not merely lip service but praise that stem from our pure hearts. You seek for us to be ever believing and loving you as you love us. You want us to continuously and without ceasing to worship you until the end. You want us Lord to serve you because you are worthy of praise and not because of any traditions, superstitions nor mechanical ways. God, today, we as Children of the Most High, whom you divinely called, worship you in spirit and in truth. Amen
