Let Us Pray No. 169

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” Psalms 139:14

Abba, Dear Father God, please forgive us if we do not see clearly your wonderful works in us, in the way you created us and the things you have done in our lives. Let us be satisfied and thankful with who we are and what we have and not want to be persons other than ourselves. Let us see ourselves in the way you see us. You created us according to your design and plan for our lives. You cannot go wrong in what you do. The same way when you finished the whole creation, you were happy and satisfied when you said, “Excellent! Perfect!” So Father, let our hearts not be weary, but grateful. Not feeling sorry by glad for who we are and what we are. We believe that your great plan and design will unfold throughout the days of our lives to become you image, not physically, for you look at our souls. Our physical characteristics are never a great deal for you. What is most important is the beauty of our inner selves. This we have to attain through your teachings which mold us continuously until we have the beauty of holiness. When we do, we shall inherit the perfect physical bodies without blemish and imperfections for a thousand years and then for all eternity. This is what we strive for Lord. Help us Lord. Amen.
