“Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end.” Psalms 119:33
Abba, Father God, our soul knows that you created us out of love. You gave us the best reason to live for and that is to also love you with the same love you have for us. You have given yourself for us and we ought to give ourselves to you by serving you until the last breath. Our love for you will not last until our death, rather, it will last forever. We desire to continue to love you and serve you in eternity. It is the same love you have for us. It did not last when you died on the cross. Your resurrection confirmed that your love is an everlasting love, even after life on earth. Dear Father, we know that we cannot serve you without your help. We serve you by obeying your commands. You do not want us to obey with heavy a heart, you want us to obey you out of our love for you. You are the one who can give us the strength to do things for you. Lord, we admit, without you, we cannot do anything. Lord come to our lives, we welcome you in our hearts. Our soul longs for you presence. Lord, if we live, let us live for you. May we be able to submit ourselves to you and let you be Lord of our lives. We know that you will not help us if we do not help ourselves. So Lord, today give us the opportunity to serve you and accomplish things for your pleasure. May you come nearer and dearer to us today until forever. Amen.
