“Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.” Psalms 119:18

Abba, oh Lord God, we begun the year with a clear vision as to how we should spend this year. You want us to be perfectly holy. As we evaluate our past days and months, we see in us weaknesses that make us fall into temptations. We are forgetful of your commands that we fail to do them in the face of trials and challenges. We sometimes become doubtful and managed to do things on our own. Lord, today help us to renew our spirit to follow your precepts. You know, Lord, that we want to give you the best service we can for your glory. It is our happiness to do your commandments. Today, we pray, Lord, open our eyes, the eyes of our hearts, the eyes of faith that we may see the wonderful things in your laws. Yes Lord, there are great and beautiful things in your words that we miss. If only we can see them, we shall be able to gaze upon them day and night and meditate on them that we may obey them. Only you, Lord, could help us see them. Clear our minds of the deception that blind our understanding. Make us hate sin and appreciate the beauty of holiness.  These wonderful things in your words will surely have a profound effect in our lives. They will change us and lead us to a holy and successful life. Your words will then become our treasure which we can keep in our hearts that we may not sin against you.  Lord, every day, we raise our voice and in unity of spirit we ask you in prayer to lead us the way. By your words, make us understand your will, let us see and delight in your words. Lord, by your words. Establish our steps that we may reach the goal and purpose of our life. By your words, make us holy and loving and powerful children of yours in world. Amen
