“Knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.” Ephesians 6:8

Abba Dear God, I praise you with all my soul, for today I meditate on your mighty power and great wisdom in delivering us from the bondage of sin. Now we are free men! We are free to come to serve you. You revealed yourself to us as the Most High God, the Creator of the whole Universe, the Giver of life and the Almighty One. We voluntarily submit ourselves to you as your bondservants. We do not and will not abandon our religious duties no matter what. We will serve you until our last breath. These we shall do, Oh Lord, because of your love for us. You, who reached out to save us. You gave your Godly self for our salvation. We now devote ourselves to you, in glorifying and magnifying your Holy name. We praise and worship you in spirit and in truth. How can we serve you the best way we can? Anything that we do, we shall do for the praise of your glory. We shall serve the brethren and we shall serve the unbelievers. We shall seek the betterment of others. We shall do them in the name of love. We shall let them know that we are your slaves. As Slaves of Christ, we shall not seek our own gratification but of others. Lord, open to us avenues where we can best serve you by serving others. Today, please direct our steps towards that route, may we be able to serve others for your namesake. Amen.
