“Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” Luke 6:28
Abba, our everlasting Father, thank you for giving us lessons of life that teaches us to live differently from the practices of the worldly. To love and to do good to those who bring us pain and grief is our Christian responsibility. It is your will for us to be the light of this darkened world, oh Lord, and help us to do so. Help us to obey this commandment of yours without hesitation and be willing abide by it because we aspire to become your reflection according to the examples you left us. When someone speak ill and wish ill against us, may we speak well and pray well for them in the name of Agape love. Fire cannot be quenched by fire and it would be ungodly for us when anger, hatred, resentment and vengeance are taking control of our thoughts, words and deeds. Dear God, if ever we are challenged today or in other days, help us seize the opportunity by showing love without hypocrisy. This we ask in the name of our God and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
