Let Us Pray No. 102

  • April 12, 2017

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Abba, Father Almighty, you are the beginner and the completer of our faith. You were manifested in the flesh and suffered death on the cross in Calvary although you are without sin. You offered your life and sacrificed for us. You humbled yourself and have shown us the first and the last example of our faith. You are the model we should follow on how to be obedient, to empty ourselves and how to possess the nature of a servant. Hence, oh Lord, we implore you to help us as we run in the race of our faith and as we contend here in this fretful world. Let us keep our eyes of our faith fixed on the crown of righteousness you laid up for us. Whatever the cross we are to bear today, if ever it be painful or heavier than we thought we could carry, we are filled with hope that we can take them, for you are with us. For you are the giver and the rewarder of our strength and we will hold on it until we receive from you the everlasting joy and the promise of entering in the place of your rest. Amen.
