Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:24 NKJV)

God has no need. He is the giver. He does not take anything from us that benefit Him when we serve Him. As it was said, “Human hands cannot serve his need for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need there is.” But why do we want to serve Him eagerly? Our primary belief has become our eternal wisdom: because He is our Creator. God made us – created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works He has prepared for us to do. We do them in reverence to God. We obey His commands because we know this is all that we were created for. In a deeper sense, we are serving Him because we learned to love Him. He loved us first and the love He showed us is the same love that taught us how to love Him back. IT IS AGAPE LOVE! Those who love Him are not waiting for any reward in exchange for the services they render to God. It is He who says and promises that we will never be taken for granted. We will not end up empty-handed. The year is about to end. It is truly rewarding we have come this far. There is so much more to be thankful for than to have resentment for. What we can offer our God is to praise and glorify Him. Let us all gather together in the upcoming Thanksgiving Day of the Church. We will worship Him. Believe that each of us shall have our fair share of His abundant blessings. Rewards and favors are stored for us here and in the afterlife. Get yours!
