To whom God wanted to make known the glorious riches of this secret among the gentiles-which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27 ISV)
God said regarding Abraham, “Will I keep a secret from Abraham? Will I not tell him what I will do?” Abraham was God’s friend. He was given the promise under a covenant of blessing. The covenant also was for Abraham’s seed. The seed referred to was Christ. A mystery unfolded when the body of Christ was revealed, the Most Holy Church. We are many but considered one body of Christ. We are the seeds of Abraham for we are in Christ Jesus. God opened up His secrets. He made known to us the infinite and glorious riches we have as Christians. The mystery is… how can we as Gentiles, who are without God and without promise, become the chosen people? How can Christ dwell in us, work in us, and live in us? How can we become like Christ, be honored, and given the crown of life? Those are the mysteries even ourselves cannot comprehend, except that we know God has loved us unconditionally. However, this secret has to be revealed to all people so that they may also share the glorious richness of God. Will you keep the secret or tell them to others? Let us tell them the secret!
