Let Us Pray No. 55

  • February 24, 2017

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Abba, ever dearest Father. You are our Lord, who, never change. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. You are the only foundation of our salvation. Your faithfulness, power and strength are enough for us to surpass all the trials and temptations we encounter each day. In all humility, we are approaching your throne of mercy to ask for your forgiveness.  Help us to fully depend on your divine assistance when things that happen appears to block our way. Give us the wisdom and understanding that all occurrences in our lives are under your control and that you can paralyze and destroy any circumstances if it will harm us. We fervently pray that when we are tempted and tried may we be able to see that you have the best reason why you are allowing it. Enable us to foresee that it is for your glory and for the perfection of our faith and soul. Abba, we are your own, we are your creations and you do fully know our limits. Thus, we fully realize that if we triumphantly overcome trials and temptations beyond the point we are not able to resist, it is you and only you who saves us and strengthens us. You are truly great and worthy of our thankfulness and praise. Bless your holy name. Amen.
