Abba, Lord God, you are our strength, the rock of salvation and the formidable fortress against our enemies. Without you we can do nothing. Please continually give us the power and the wisdom to face and defeat all trials of life each day. Through faith, we are able to overcome even the fieriest attacks of Satan against his time tested weapons to bring us down and to enslave us in sins. These are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. It is easy for us to continue to serve and follow you when things go well in our lives. When we are prosperous, having received abundant blessings from you, we stay close to you. We pray Lord, that even in times of troubles and difficulties, sustain us with the faith you have entrusted us. Let us live righteously in your sight especially when the going gets rough. Let us feel the joy of serving you in all circumstances. Train us to become great warriors of faith. Bestow us strong and steadfast heart through the indwelling of your Holy Spirit. Make us as fearless and as briskly as gazelles able to flee from any temptations that might take us to the ground of sins and failures. Let us climb new heights, in our servitude, growing continually in faith until it becomes a most holy faith. Let us reach new triumphs each day. Let us conquer the world, to turn it into your kingdom. Let our lights shine brightest in the dark sky that all may see your glory. Lord, show us the way. Amen
