Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
Abba, our Great God, overflowing with kindness, perfect in holiness, You called us from the darkness so we may walk in the perfection of holiness. We, who were accustomed to doing evil, were trained by Your Holy Spirit to live in holiness. The purpose of Your calling is clear in our hearts and minds—for us to be instruments in proclaiming Your salvation. Because of this commission, the enemy will surely exploit all the forces of evil to hinder us and cause us to fail. But You gave the spirit of victory to each of us. There is no way for us to fail. Please help us, our Father, to always abound in good works. No matter what evil we may experience from others, may we always do good in return, not only to bless them but also for the revelation of Your righteousness we are walking by. May we always walk with purity and never be stained with the filth of this world. We firmly hope this will be made possible in us by our only God and Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen.
