Let Us Pray No. 300

He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. (Proverbs 14:29)

Abba, our holy God, Most Holy and Most High, You give us abounding wisdom. The wisdom that streams in us made the knowledge of this world a nuisance. Your wisdom broadened our understanding and deepened our knowledge of the occurrences around us. Truly, in this world we live in, wickedness prevails. Many people harm, exploit, and damage their fellowmen. Even us whom You have chosen cannot avoid these. But we thank You for the wisdom You imparted us that helps us reflect before doing anything. We know vengeance to those who sinned against us cannot do us any good. It will be better if we can be calm and slow to anger because with these, we can show the love You have loved us. If we repay good for evil, we become victorious. Through these, we can bring those who sinned not only to ask us for forgiveness but also to acknowledge You and praise Your name. Those who sinned against us because of misconception will also receive the wisdom coming from You, so they can also live in holiness and give glory to Your name. May we always have kindness like our Lord Christ Jesus, our only God and Savior. Amen.
