“Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.” Psalms 37:3

Abba, Lord God Almighty, a Father who truly loves us. Today we renew our commitment to surrender ourselves to you and do your commands willingly and wholeheartedly. We have seen our lives went astray when we do what we think was right. We fail, disappointed, and were heartbroken when we trust in ourselves and in others and not trust in you. These failures brought us to our knees and realized that we need to trust in you. We remember when Israel was released from the Egyptian bondage and journeyed to the Promise Land. You taught them how to trust in you every day for 40 years. They waited every morning for manna for their daily nourishment, for the clouds to cover them during the day from the burning heat of the sun in the desert, and for light during the night, and protection from their enemies. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell during those forty years in the wilderness. They have conquered giants and strong armies along the way when they trusted you but lost when they trusted themselves. All those happened because you wanted to discipline them, to develop their trust in you. Lord, we remember those times when we failed, were the times when we did not trust you. From this day forward, let us trust in you in whatever circumstances we are in. No one can control nor predict our circumstances, but teach us to control our reactions to those situations. When times seem bad and evil, we shall trust in you. When good times happen, we shall praise you. We shall trust you with everything in our lives. We shall confide to you our hopes and dreams, our burdens and difficulties, the very fiber of our hearts and minds. We shall trust you because it is you who really care for us, and a ready help when we need it. We promise Lord that in trusting you, we shall fully do good to please you, to glorify you for you are faithfully love us even we do wrong. You put our past mistakes in the past and forgive us to move forward to a successful tomorrow. Lord, we praise you and thank you for your faithful love. Amen
